Life After A Computer Crash

Most of us have suffered through a major computer crash with the accompanying loss of data and important documents. Recently, I had my third crash, this time my main desktop system. Fortunately, this time I had an external hard drive with a complete shadow backup of my "C" drive. The external hard drive is a 2 TB (terabyte) Western Digital My Book Essential (Western Digital part# WDBAAF0020HBK-NESN).

For my readers who are unfamiliar with computer lingo, a terabyte is 1,000 gigabytes. Most modern computer hard drives are rated at 160 - 500 gigabytes of storage capacity. It is critical that a data backup system is always available for all critical data and documents, especially for business and technical (research) applications.

The front dimensions of the light box are 16"x16" with a depth of 16". This is plenty of room to photograph most figurines as you can see from my own work with the Tabletop Photo Studio. I use the Photo Studio exclusively for all my closeups for small to medium size items with professional results.
The Photo Studio is very well packaged and comes in a convenient black nylon travel case measuring 18"x18". The whole assembly folds flat. There are three pouches on the front of the nylon case for the two lights and the tripod. The tripod is 5.5" high closed and 10" high fully extended, the perfect height range for close work.
This is a wonderful product and I recommend it very highly for someone who does their own photography work for the products and merchandise they market. The Studio is also ideal for inventory, coin, stamps, and insurance purposes. The uses are broad and varied.

CLEANING YOUR OLD MOUNTAIN CAST IRON COOKWARE INSTRUCTIONS:

After cooking in your Old Mountain cookware, it can be cleaned by adding hot water to about one inch depth and bringing to a boil. Never use detergent to clean seasoned cookware, as it will remove the seasoning: Also, avoid putting hot cast iron into cold water. This can cause cast iron to warp or crack. After pouring out the boiling water, wipe the cookware dry with a paper towel. If something sticks to the surface, dislodge it by simply using a spoon. Do not use any abrasive item to scrub cookware. Again, this can cut into seasoned surface. While the pan is still warm from washing, apply a fine coating of oil or spray on all surfaces. If metallic taste or signs of rust are noticed, simply wash with hot, soapy water. Scour off the rust, and then reseason your cookware by following the instructions below. Store your cast iron cookware in a cool dry location. If storing with lid, place a paper towel between the lid and base to allow circulation of air.

SEASONING YOUR OLD MOUNTAIN CAST IRON COOKWARE INSTRUCTIONS:

Follow these instructions if your Old Mountain cookware ever requires reseasoning. 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. 2. Wash the cast iron with hot, soapy water, and a stiff brush. Rinse and dry. 3. Completely coat the inside and outside surfaces with melted vegetable oil or shortening (some people prefer lard or bacon fat). 4. Place the cookware on the middle rack for 30 minutes. Remove the cookware and wipe it almost dry to prevent pooling of shortening or oil. Place the pan back in oven for another 30 minutes.
